A Dragon Turtle in the TORTUPÔLE Museum!

In January 2022, we had the pleasure of introducing a new “Muggle” to the meticulous art of bone carving. 

Indeed, Dr Franck Bonin, the veterinary and manager of TORTUPÔLE FRANCE, acquired a most beautiful Dragon Turtle for his museum dedicated to the conservation of those amazing animals and the noble mission of raising biodiversity awareness. 

This Dragon Turtle combines the characteristics of two celestial creatures in Asian culture – the turtle’s longevity and the dragon’s power. On its back, it carries eight human characters who achieved immortality thanks to their kindness and feats. 

The newly arrived has just met up with its ‘cousins’ and now sits prominently in the museum, looking perfectly at ease in its new environment!
